Nothing new to report, just thought I'd update.

Yup, you read it right. There's nothing new that's been happening, though this lovely keyboard that I'm typing is ghiving me ideas. I'm stuck on a Friday evening in a computer lab waiting for the bus. Lovely, no? See you later! :)

This is suspicious...

It's another lovely Saturday morning and I'm at college again. I'm supposed to attend a screening of a movie, but it's only going to be at eleven and its nine-ish now.

I was actually surfing in the other lab when all of a sudden the Internet connection died. I switched over to the lab next to it, played with the IP add a little and VOILA! I'm back on the net. The same thing happened the last time I was in college on a Saturday.

The thing is that most of the computers at college are on that IP add that gives out pretty freqeuntly. And then too, there's only one IP address serving at least 60 computers in college, and you can imagine what happens during the peak hours. I say that the admins should be shot for shoddy work.

What do you say? :)

An unmigitated Idiot

Bear in mind that these are all MY OPINIONS! They do not reflect the opinions of Malaysians in general (for all I know).

Okay, now that I've got your attention, let me tell you what I mean. And no, for once, the person I'm talking about is not my lecturer or anyone related to my college. Well he is, in a very obscure and distant manner. But then again, I'm disgressing.

You see, the man I'm talking about is none other than Malaysia's current Deputy Premier, Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak. Now here is a man who is sticking his nose where it should not be and seems to institute policies that would give either his ego a boost or merely to keep up with the Singaporeans.

Why do I say this?

The most recent action he did was to implement a policy that every secondary school student in Malaysia must now join a uniformed body. According to him, it's because students will be more disciplined if they enter the corps. Now, here are the reasons why I think he's an unmigitated idiot:

1. If you force all of them to join the uniformed corps, there will be those who join simply for the sake of joining. They will disrupt activities, thereby diverting the attention of those who joined because they are really interested.

2. Just because uniformed corps are synonomous with discipline doesn't mean that they are. I know a lot of people (myself included) who joined but we are not that disciplined nor are we inclined to join the military. (Okay that didn't make sense) :p

3. Who gave Najib the right to decide what will be the policy for the Education Ministry? This is not under the Defence Ministry at all! Since when was the extra-curriculur activities of students under the supervision of the Defence Ministry anyway?

That's all I have to rant for now. Bear in mind that this is all MY OPINIONS! They do not reflect the opinions of Malaysians in general (for all I know). Good Day! :)

Assignment Blues

Sigh... The group assignment I have with my classmates is still nowhere near completion yet, as well as several other assignments.

I'm a little worried about myself because I've never been this bad with assignments before (last semester nonwithstanding).

And then there's the fact that my lecturer never got my assignment. I have to see my tutor about that...

Sigh......
