Lodged complaint today

I finally did what I was talking about today. Yup, I lodged a complaint with the Student Services Department about the facilities in LimKokWing today. It's not so much the facade that irritated me, but the fact that though we have more labs... Let me just list it down:

Insufficient Printers
- More labs, but not many of them are equipped with printers, thus making the print queues longer. Furthermore, because they CANNOT see the print queue (thanks to some idiotic protocol) Students are unable to see where their documents are and often click several times to print the same document when they only need one copy.

Insufficient Pcs
-The macs in college are poorly maintained and make it pain to use. Need I say more?

Insufficent computers with INTERNET ACCESS
-Internet access is next to non-existent, which is important for the rest of us when the campus library is insufficient

All About my Mother

Earlier I wrote about watching a film called All about My mother, a Spanish film directed by Almodovar, a director who is known for pushing the boundaries by having themes of homosexuality and other 'taboo' topics in his films. All About my mother was no different, though it moved me for the portrayal of a mother who was slowly going insane because her son had died.

Earlier while researching the movie, someone mentioned that there is an almost erotic quality to the way Esteban Jr (the first son as I call him) and his mother, Manuela, interacted. In a way it's true. Eloy Azorin was spectacular in the role. He was the quintessial mother's boy; not weak, not independent, but very strong and self-willed in his own way. (Not to mention cute :) )

However, as I mentioned in my report to my lecturers, the most significant part of the movie was the relationship between Rosa (a nun) and her mother. They were antagonistic (sp?) and at the same time, compromising. Why did I like it so much? Because it reminded me of the relationship I had with my own mother.

There is something for everyone in this film. So go watch it. Just remember to keep your mind's working off. You'll enjoy it better. :)

Yup, another overdue update...

Haven't really felt like blogging recently. Way too many things going on I suppose.

News on Gaia Online: It's now gaiaonline.com not go-gaia.com effective 1st May. That's nice I suppose.

I joined Malaysian Idol. Silly of me, no? Just for the fun of it. If you wanna know what I look like (minus Nick, he's my bf, and so doesn't count :P) go and check out the auditions on the 10/6/2004, from ten to one. I have no idea where it is. ;p

Sigh... That's all I wanna blog for now. Write more later... :)
